Our Founding Partners
Each of the three founding organizations of The Pork Show had its own activity, with its own people. But one question remained: why couldn't the first pork producing province have its own rallying event? Today, it's a reality, since The Pork Show comes from the alliance of those three partners.
This event is the product of over a year and a half of hard work on the part of the leaders of the three founding organizations: AQINAC, ACQP and the Éleveurs de porcs du Québec. The chairmen of those organizations have joined efforts on this project with enthusiasm and were able to mobilize their Board of Directors, sharing the common vision and objectives of The Pork Show Steering Committee. It's important to highlight the fast and unequivocal support of the processing businesses to the Steering Committee.
The Pork Show is an example of the clear will of the industry's leaders to stand together.
The Association québécoise des industries de nutrition animale et céréalière (AQINAC) is working to meet the consumers' demands on food safety, environement, quality, breeding conditions and economic benefits.
It's a prime partner, working to promote and introduce better production, agri-environment and social coexistence practices in agriculture and agrifood businesses, in addition to serving the pork, poultry, dairy and grain productions, among others.
The Association du Congrès du Porc du Québec (ACPQ)
The Association du Congrès du Porc du Québec (ACPQ) has for mandate to organize an annual pork congress in Quebec promoting the interests of all the stakeholders in the pork industry.
The Éleveurs de porcs du Québec is an agricultural association established by virtue of the Professional Syndicates Act. The Éleveurs de porcs du Québec is affiliated with the Union des producteurs agricoles (UPA) and the Canadian Pork Council (CPC).
The Éleveurs de porcs du Québec brings together 3,422 pork producers of the many regions of Quebec, divided into 8 regional syndicates.
